Magda and I spent most of Sunday's afternoon packing for our backpacking adventure in Utah. Packing went smoothly and I was surprised how well we are actually prepared for these get away backpacking trips. We both know what to do and what to pack and our experience helped us to prepare for 7 days and 6 nights in the wilderness. There will be no hotels, maybe car camping once or twice and the rest of it will be backpacking (I hope).
I think we packed pretty well this time. Only 1 backpack and one large REI suitcase (the other backpack is inside the suitcase).
We went to "MultiKulti" this Saturday and discovered great local band: Pet Peeve. It reminded us a lot of Hungarian band Little Cow, which we both love so much. Great band to listen and dance to with "Gypsy punk" feel and attitude. Talked to Lorian after the show (vocalist and guitar player) and bought a CD. Great guy .... came from Romania in 92 when he was 15 .... just like me :)

Utah - Here we come. Lightroom 3. And Chicago stinks.
We are only few days away from our backpacking trip to Utah. I love the desert and I'm psyched about going back again. We've been doing it at least once a year for past 4-5 years and I need my fix.
This time it's Capitol Reef National Park and some other high desert country.
Life is good!
In the meantime I purchased Lighroom 3 through my school and have been working with it for last 2 hours. I love it. Just discovered that I can publish photos directly to Flickr. That's huge! It will save me a lot of time. Version 3 is also so much snappier than 2 and has some really cool editing improvements. This made me look back at some of my photos from this year.

This one I took while I was dropping of our recycles. Travesty! Let's just hope that Rahm will be better about Chicago recycling issue.
